Finance Samjho collects very little: an email address, an optional display name, and records of what the site had to do to work. This page says exactly what those are.

§1Who runs this site
Finance Samjho is a personal-finance content brand run by one person, [OWNER: registered business or individual name], from India. That person is the data controller for everything described on this page and can be reached at [OWNER: contact email address].
§2What this site does
- Publishes personal-finance articles and videos in Hindi and English. Some are open to everyone; some are for members.
- Lets you create an account and sign in with a one-time code emailed to you.
- Serves short links such as financesamjho.net/abc123 that redirect to a YouTube video or channel.
- Runs a comment auto-reply on the owner's own Instagram account: comment an agreed keyword on one of his reels and Instagram sends you a direct message containing a link.
§3What is collected
Four things, and nothing else. There is no profile built about you beyond what is listed here.
- Your account
- Your email address, a display name if you choose to set one, and the times you signed in. There is no password on this site at all — you sign in with a code sent to your email.
- Your membership
- Whether your membership is active, when it expires if it does, how it was granted, and a short internal note the owner may write against it.
- Short-link clicks
- Each time a short link is opened, the site stores the time, the page that referred you if your browser sent one, your browser's user-agent string, and a two-letter country code supplied by the hosting provider. Your IP address is not stored, and no cookie or identifier is set that would let one click be tied to another.
- Instagram comment replies
- When the auto-reply runs, the site stores the Instagram comment ID, the Instagram-scoped user ID of the person who commented, and whether the message was sent. The comment text is read to match the keyword and is not stored. The record exists so the same comment never triggers two messages.
§4Why it is collected
- Your email address identifies your account and is where sign-in codes go. Without it you cannot sign in.
- Membership records decide whether a members-only page opens for you.
- Click records tell the owner which links people actually used, so he knows what to make more of.
- Instagram records stop the auto-reply from messaging the same person twice for the same comment.
§5Cookies
The site sets sign-in cookies, and only sign-in cookies. They keep you signed in between pages and are set by Supabase, the service that handles authentication. There are no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no tracking pixels on this site.
§6Who else handles this data
Running the site means a handful of services see some of it. Each is used for one job and nothing more.
- Supabase
- Stores the database and runs authentication, including sending and checking sign-in codes.
- Vercel
- Hosts the site. As the host it handles every request, which includes seeing your IP address in transit, and it is what supplies the country code recorded against a click.
- ZeptoMail, by Zoho
- Delivers the sign-in emails. It handles your email address and the code being sent.
- Meta, for Instagram
- Only for the comment auto-reply on the owner's own Instagram account. Meta sends the comment event to this site and delivers the reply message. Your relationship with Instagram is governed by Meta's own terms and privacy policy.
§7What is never done with it
- Your data is not sold, rented, or traded.
- It is not shared for advertising, and no advertising network runs on this site.
- It is not used to track you across other websites. Nothing here follows you off this domain.
- It is not shared with anyone beyond the services listed above, except where the law requires it.
§8How long it is kept
Your account, profile and membership records are kept for as long as your account exists. Delete the account from your account settings and those records are deleted with it, immediately.
Click records and Instagram reply records are kept as operational records. They are not deleted on a fixed schedule today, and this page will not pretend otherwise — if there is a specific record you want removed, ask and it will be removed.
§9What you can do about it
Two things you can do yourself, from your account settings, without asking anyone:
- change or clear your display name;
- delete your account. Deleting it removes your sign-in record, your profile and your membership straight away. It cannot be undone.
For anything else — a copy of what is held about you, a correction, or a specific record removed — write to [OWNER: contact email address] from the address on your account. Requests are handled by one person, by hand, usually within [OWNER: how quickly you reply, e.g. two working days].
§10Age
This site is not intended for anyone under [OWNER: minimum age to hold an account, e.g. 18]. If you believe someone below that age has created an account, write to [OWNER: contact email address] and it will be removed.
§11Changes to this policy
If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. There is no archive of older versions.
§12Contact
Questions about anything on this page go to [OWNER: contact email address]. The contact page has the full details.
